-the first burn of a candle is really important.  please burn it for minimum 2-3 hours so the wax has melted evenly to the edges of the jar. this is a memory burn for future burns! 

-keep your wick trimmed to 5mm between burns to ensure there's no excess soot and very large flames

-if the flame is too high and smoking, extinguish the flame, cut the wick to 5mm and relight

-preferably use a candle snuffer or lid to extinguish the flame

-don't burn your candle for more than 4-5 hours at a time

-don't ever leave a burning candle unattended 

-keep out of reach of children and furry friends (pets)

-most importantly, love and enjoy your pure essential oil candles
